Design to Immobilise and Allow The Treatment to be Accurately Deliver

The endorectal balloon is filled water and provides temporary positioning and stabilisation of the rectal wall and adjacent structures, such as in male patients, to support prostate immobilisation during imaging procedures (e.g., computed tomography [CT] scans, X-ray) and/or radiation therapy.

It is inserted into the rectum and inflated before each CT scan or RT session, then deflated and removed immediately after the procedure.
